Looking for relatives!
My name is Victor Rafailov. I am a doctor, PhD in Medicine. I work as the Head of the Otolaryngology Department at the Republican Children’s Clinics of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazan (Russia).
During the period of the Second World War (1941-1945) my great-grandmother, Maria Stepanovna Rafailova end my grandmother, Anastasya Frolovna Rafailova received notices saying that her hus-band, Victor Nikolayevich Rafailov, born 1915, and his brother, Alexei Nikolayevich Rafailov, born 1917, were missing.
Within a few years after the war my great-grandmother and my grandmother was informed that they were staying in Canada (?). Tak-ing into assount a complicated political situation in the former USSR, the connection was interrupted even not having started. So I consider it the matter of my whole life to restore our genealogical line and to find relatives.
I would like to ask every person of good will to answer me even if this letter and this case bear no relation to you and, if possible, to render any assistance in my further search.
I will send a more detailed information and photos if necessary.
